This island is ranked as one of the top destinations to dive with abundance of both resident and visiting Dolphins, Pilot Whales, Spinner Whales, Sperm Whales, False Orcas and more! Heather has seen them and heard them underwater. Whale watching is part of this trip! The reefs and waters surrounding the island hold surprises for even the most seasoned diver. The Frogfish, Seahorses, Flying Gunards, Eels along with beautiful coral formation bouquets are beautiful!!! The top side of Dominica is as stunning with the serene beauty of rainforest hills. See towering waterfalls, soak in volcanic hot springs, and experience the embrace of nature.
Staying at a Beautiful Converted 17th Century Fort: The Fort Young Hotel. This unique oceanfront hotel is a perfect base for your adventures in Dominica! The hotel is located at the edge of the friendly town of Rousseau. You will enjoy luxury atmosphere and hospitality. Each room has A/C, private bath, phones, cable TV, Wi-Fi or bable internet, and mini frig! There are two restaurants, and a cafe and bar on site. There is a spa, gym, and yoga as well!! The onsite dive center, Fort Young Dive, has a dedicated, professional staff of instructors and divemasters, and a fully equipped dockside dive center. Cost:
Deposits of $400 pp (non-refundable) are needed to guarantee your space ASAP. Booking airfare upon request from any departure city when available. Please ask for best pricing. You may book your own air. Not included: Gratuities (Divemasters, Tour Guides, Hotel Staff) and extra tours. Nitrox available at $143/week, subject to change for 2027.
